Team events in Squash of the SAG got underway today

Kathmandu: India began its campaign on a positive note, winning its opening matches in the round-robin league in both the men’s and women’s section in the Squash team event of the South Asian Games here on Sunday.

The men beat Nepal 3-0 and the women too chalked out an identical margin win over Nepal again.

The results: Men: India bt Nepal 3-0 (Abhay Singh bt Arhant Simha 11-6, 11-4,11-8; Abhishek Pradhan bt Amir Belinda 11-3, 11-5, 11-1; Abhishek Agarwal bt Dipak Thapa 11-3, 11-1, 11-1); Women: India bt Nepal 3-0 (Tanvi Khanna bt Krishna Thapa 11-2,11-5, 11-6; Sanya Vats bt Bhavana Sunuwar 11-4, 11-2, 11-3; Urwashi Joshi bt Bipana Bhlon 11-4, 11-5, 11-2)
